The Business November 21st 2012, The "Emily Squared" Edition

This Holiday season, we are thankful for our Emilys. Two Emilys in particular, and they will both be here on Wednesday so we can give them thanks.

Emily Heller is a comedian and writer who likes you very much. You may have seen her on the third season of John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show on Comedy Central, or as one of the New Faces at the 2012 Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. In 2011, She was included in Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch, won Rooftop Comedy’s Silver Nail Award, and was named one of
the “Funniest People in Town” by 7x7 Magazine. Praised in San Francisco for what her friends call her “self-deprecating feminist slob poetry,” Emily now lives in New York City and performs stand-up all over the country.

Emily Maya Mills is an actor, writer and stand-up comic based in Los Angeles. She's been seen on Parks and Recreation, Ellen, Conan, Childrens’ Hospital, Key and Peele, Downers Grove, Harry's Law and many of television’s weirder commercials. Emily is a graduate of Emerson College is a regular performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Her three-woman sketch group, Birds of Prey, won Best Sketch Group in a Punchline Magazine survey and continues to produce exclusive videos for FunnyorDie.com and Cracked.com.

These fly birds aren’t Turkeys! They’ll cran your berry! You’ll want to do the Mashed Potato with them! You’ll want to fill your body cavity with their delicious stuffing!

Your regulars will be there as well, Sean “Sweet Potatoes” Keane, Bucky “Gravy” Sinister, Mike “Terducken” Drucker and Caitlin “Green Bean Casserole” Gill.

We sell out! Get there early to score a seat.

  1. All over COMMUNITY, seniors are breathing a sigh of relief. Thanks to changes in the
Medicare drug plan as a result of the new health law, many seniors who have faced years of financial strain due to high prescription drug prices are seeing some savings. Seniors who pay more than $2,800 on
prescription drugs and find themselves entering the doughnut hole will receive rebate checks of $250. It’s the first step in making sure their money is going to the more important things in life…like their grandchildren.

  2. Feminism seeks to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment - a must remembered statement. Cheers to Emily Heller.

I watched the "emilYpisode" and had great time. i could relate to the "save mother earth" punch line. which reminds me, my friend went to the comfort room to take a bath. I didn't noticed so i went inside and both us just looked at each other and i said "okay, shall we conserve water instead?" =)

Likewise, cheers to Emily Mills for the cool shirt! it reminded me also when i woremy shirt with a statement "kill all politicians" during the Election Day =)

As to the "Emily Squared?" two thumbs up!! absolutely fun and full of humor, can't resist but laugh at such an unholy hour (early dawn) nice job for Emily Squared!

  3. The 'Evil' Feminist

Emily Heller looks like the unique best buddy in a ridiculous loving funny, the buddy who is much more exciting than the primary personality. She got her begin by getting a standup category at UC–Santa Jackson. She took the category because she desired to provide a excellent conversation at her sister's marriage.

Onstage, Heller seems almost uncomfortable, but her distribution and moment create you pay attention and have a good laugh.

"I am a feminist," she says, illustrating a "Woooo" from the audience.

"No, no. I use it for wicked, not for excellent.

"Because for me feminism isn't really about creating the globe a better more equivalent position for females and all individuals, as much as it is about being sluggish and dreadful.

"Because I ceased males my feet for a while, and someone was like, 'What are you, a feminist?' And I was like, 'Uh ... would that ... describe it?"

Heller says that she considers there aren't as many females in funny as there should be, not because females aren't crazy, but because individuals don't anticipate females to be crazy.

"When individuals don't anticipate individuals to be crazy, a lot of their humorousness tends to go distinct," she says. "I think it's centered more on what our community principles in females."
    wow Emily Heller
